What is Creativity?
If you’re not exercising your creativity you're wasting your time, your life.
You need creativity in your life.
You need it the way you need purpose and meaning. If you don’t have them, {science shows} {well let’s just say} there’s a {whole} lot of empty going on inside.
But if that’s not enough to convince you, then you should at least understand that there are serious and legitimate benefits to creativity. A whole shit-ton of benefits. [Where I’m from,] That’s a lot of benefits.
But before we dive into that, [let’s agree on what we’re talking about..]
This whole enterprise is based on Creativity:

But what is “creativity''? What the hell am I talking about?
Here’s a definition I like:
“Creativity is the practice of combining or rearranging two or more unlikely things in new and useful ways.”
It’s just taking a few random things and cramming them together, and anything else you can find, until they make something that works.
And this one:
"Creativity is the act of turning new and imaginative ideas into reality. Creativity is characterized by the ability to perceive the world in new ways, to find hidden patterns, to make connections between seemingly unrelated phenomena, and to generate solutions. Creativity involves two processes: thinking, then producing."

Thinking, dreaming, imagining.
Making, playing, creating.
Dreaming. Doing.
Imagining. Creating.
[Or as my kid would do it] [As the kids call it these days…]: Imagine. Play.
Or as all the cool kids, and my kid, and just about every kid calls it: Play
Or as the cool kids are calling it these days (and my kid, and just about every other kid): Play
Or as the cool kids, and my kid, and just about every other kid are calling it these days [and have been calling it since forever]: Play.
The ability to imagine and the ability to create.
I am talking about thinking creatively, and actively creating.
Sometimes they’re interchangeable, and sometimes they’re two separate things working together, kind of like PB & J.
Or [Olivia] Newton John & [John] Travolta.
Honey & Mustard.
Hustle & Flow.
Perceive the world in new ways, make connections between seemingly unrelated phenomena, and generate solutions. Turn new and imaginative ideas into reality.
And action is a key word in both.
But we’ll get to that.
Why is it that creativity is so important to your health and happiness and that of your family?
Why does Creativity matter?
